Augusta Farley moved to NM in the 70s. While working briefly within the behavioral care system, she caught the dog training bug and moved to CA in 2000 to advance her competitive training and open a pet care facility. While there she and community members started a resource center to bring pet care to under-served people and their pets. Back in Albuquerque, Augusta connected with the like-minded Los Sueños Community Giving. Augusta lives with two dogs and a steady stream of foster dogs. She is an active volunteer with conservation programs, travels, and is trying to master the conga and mbira.
